Hello Mr Cornwell. I'm reading the Warlord Chronicles for the 10th time, and really enjoyed the Grail Quest. Can I ask you when you'll be continuing the Starbuck books? Also, with the success of Lord of the Rings, when can we expect Arthur to come to the big screen; surely someone in Hollywood has the sense to approach you. Jon Cobb

I have enjoyed your books for many years. As a history student, I enjoy the history lesson woven into the adventure and combined with the study of the various personalities and social commentary. In view of the popular success of recent "historical" adventure movies, I cannot help but think that a movie based upon the Sharpe series, Arthur series, Starbuck, or others would be a great success. Thank you for writing these entertaining and informative novels!

Dear Sir, I would just like to comment on how much I have enjoyed the stories in your books, particularily Sharpe's Tiger and, my favorites, the Starbuck Chronicles. I have noticed how you have said that you have left Nathaniel Starbuck on a vaction, and I think that many fans of the chronicles will say it's time for another, as Nate has been on vacation since 2001 (I think). Mr Cornwell, Thank you for the Warlord series. I have read them over & over. Also I have the audio tapes, beautifully read & brought to life by Tim Pygot Smith. I am sure I have read about the series being filmed. Can you tell me if this is true and what is the timescale. Michael Brooks

Mr. Cornwell, I suppose I've read a few thousand books, but never felt sufficiently moved to write a note to any of their authors. The exception is C.S. Forester, who was dead before I ever started reading his books and so denied me the opportunity to thank him for creating Horatio Hornblower. In any event, I am reading the Sharpe novels now and wanted you to know that I am enjoying them in the same way I enjoyed Hornblower the first time around. A great character, wonderfully rendered. My first book I read of yours was Stonehenge. Since then I have read every book, but NOT one Sharpe novel. That must be a first for a BC reader. The reason I have never started reading "Sharpe" is the fact that there are so many, and Sean Bean would be forever in my head as the lead role. Anyway, I am little bit pissed on Jack Daniels and would like to say thanks for bringing me back to reading. Rgds Wayne

Damn you, you prolific bastard! I love your books. I've read the Arthurian stuff, the Archer stuff, and about half the Sharpe stuff. I have a job and a girlfriend and I hope I can keep both and still enjoy your work. I start a Sharpe with dinner and finish it about midnight. So far Derfel is my favorite character.
