Just to say that I had never read any of your books before and got a recommendation on my kindle and I'm so glad. I love the last kingdom books I'm on book 4 at the moment and I can honestly say that it is the first time that I have followed a book series and not felt "not as good as the first" Thank you so much
Warmest Regards

Dear Bernard Cornwell,
Fisrt , I want to thenk you for all the pleasure you have given me in your work,, I have read them all, great stuff!!
For your reader Aaron Allen, I would suggest he looks up the works of Nigel Tranter, who has covered Scottish history in great detail in his works. Looking forward to TLK 11 when it appears.

Mr. Cornwell,
I have been a huge fan of the Sharpe series since the first book. Just wanted to send you a note to show my appreciation for your work. Many, many hours of enjoyment. Thank you.

Apart from a number of your novels, I have just read your advice which states, in clear and helpful form, the way ahead for wanna-be writers. I am a retired City solicitor had have completed a novel based on the Greek War of Independence and am well into the sequel but becoming downcast with the slog of approaching agents -the polite ones say the historical fiction is currently not the fashion and possibly my helenophilic enthusiasms fall in a relatively unknown area. I just wanted to say'thank you' for your clear and encouraging words.

Best of luck to you!
Mr. Cornwell,
I cannot express in enough words my supreme appreciation for your works! I have read most of your them and have found them incredibly enjoyable (I am working my way through Sharpe for the 5th time)! Thank you for all your tireless work to bring some amazing stories to life in a very unique and enjoyable way!
I am in the military, a Captain in the US Army Field Artillery (alas not infantry...), and I found your description of Sharpe and Harper's relationship hit very close to home for the relationship that most young Officers strive to have with their Enlisted counter-parts. I attempted in a lot of ways to mold my own relationships with my NCOs after the relationship Sharpe developed with Harper. In fact I found the relationship to be so spot on I thought you must have served yourself.
Again, I would just like to thank you for the many years of enjoyment your works have brought to me personally! They have encouraged me to do a lot of research on my own and explore multiple non-fiction accounts of the battles and Napoleonic Wars in general (including your own of course)! I think some of my favorite parts of your books are the Author's Notes where you describe the parts that you added and give credit to the real life heroes of the battles you describe!
Very Sincerely and Respectfully Yours,
Nicholas W. Bowers

Thank you! And thank you for your service!
Have read and enjoyed several of your books especially the standalones. I recently got hooked on your Starbuck series only to be left dangling. I’m sure you get asked this a lot but it’s now over 20 years since the last Starbuck book. So please! :)

Good afternoon:
I read the first of this series several years ago, got busy doing other things, including having two non fiction books published, and have now gone back to the series. I have always been fascinated by England at this time: So remote, so alien to our modern world yet so important to it. So thank you for taking the time to write them. I took almost two years to write my first non fiction a year for my second. I doubt I could ever write a fiction book, far too difficult. It amazes me you wrote so many.
I also read most of the Sharpe books. But keep on going!!!
Thank for listening to my rant. :-)
Harry Haff
I admire you! I found the non-fiction to be much harder to write!
Good afternoon Mr Cornwell
Just want to take this opportunity to thank you for your work. I don’t normally have time to read but I haven’t been well lately. So my brother and my mum bought me the last Kingdom series and the Sharpe series of books and they have helped me though a very difficult time in my life it’s fantastic to escape in to your work. So thank you so much

I am re-reading the novels of the Warlord Chronicles for the umpteenth time. I never tire of them, and always get emotional when Dian is slain, and cheer at the battle of Lugg Vale (& Badon) Wonderful retelling of a timeless tale.
