Dear Mr Cornwell
I just wanted to thank you so much for bringing my 33rd great grandfather Uchtred of Bamburgh to life so convincingly. I can't wait for the next edition.

Hello Mr Cornwell,
I first read your Agincourt book it was right up my street as I loved it. Several of your books later you have become my favourite author. Your books are my best holiday read books. Thanks for the entertainment and enjoyment you have given me.
Cheers
Ade
Greetings Mr Cornwell!
I rarely write anything like this but I have become addicted to your books and have read 23 of them so far. I will continue on until I've read all of them! I absolutely love your writing style and as a female I love reading about wars :) and history so I have found a great place to land.
Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Hi Mr Cornwell
First, Patrick O'Brian and now yourself have greatly enriched my evening reading time - Thank you Sir!!
While other genres occasionally attract my interest, most seem dull compared to your historical fictions. The Starbuck Chronicles resurrected and animated a dramatic time in ways Messrs. S. Foote, J. McPherson, D. Freeman, M. Shaara & others simply could not. Any chance of a fifth book in that series?
I mean, 4 books for Nathan are simply not enough!!
You almost ripped my heart out in The Empty Throne's Prologue!! However, I was so releaved and happy with its last sentence - we're now enjoying The Last Kingdom's Warriors of the Storm, while looking forward to The Flame Bearer. Also, am very excited to see your March 26th mention here that another book for Uhtred is underway - WHoo Rahh!!
I can also attest to the brilliance of your Grail Quest series, 1356 and Agincourt. Please know that additional titles in these times are greatly encouraged too.
My family has enjoyed the Sharpe's video series with Sean Bean. If I live long enough, perhaps I'll read those as well...
Thanks again! Do stay healthy - We pray that you live a very LONG and productive life!!
Cheers
Ken
Mr. Cornwell -
How have I never heard of your books before, your writing, your name?
And I'm no slouch in the book department.
I just finished Fools and Mortals and it is easily the most rousing, addictive, charming storytelling I have read in some time. I stalled ending the book, knowing I would miss, mightily, all of it. But now I am hooked by your style and of course your delight and expertise in all things Shakespearean (I first became gratifyingly enmeshed with the plays/history in college, lucky me, due in large part to a wonderful instructor). This book, your writing...a gift for readers. All readers!
Thank you!
I'm off into your world. I just feel embarrassed I hadn't stepped into it sooner.

I finished Excalibur now. Have to say for you that this collection books is amazing! My feels are of very happiness. I wanted to say that you are the author I most admire writing. Of course that I will go to buy more books written by you! Sorry for the mistakes, I'm brazilian therefore my English is weak... Thank you for making people happy with your books. Bye!

The Last Kingdom, is comparable to
Harry Potter, and
The Lord of the Rings'.
Thank you for sharing your creativity, humor, and amazing characters.

Dear Mr Cornwell
First of all can I say, you are one of my favourite authors, but I am sure you are overwhelmed with such.
No, the reason for the email is to let you know we are related. I have been doing a bit of resurch on my family and found this item, " UHTRED, Earl of of Northumberland, temp about 1006, put away his wife to marry the daughter of a rich man named Styr, the Y pronounced as U Stur ! The son of Ulf (who must have been a Dane) on condition that he - the Earl - should kill Styr's enemy Thurbrand"
So I assume the UHTRED is your relation is your man and the Stur wife is mine.
Best regards
Adam
Hi Bernard,
Firstly thanks for all the reading pleasure and knowledge you've given me over the years.
I've noticed you get a lot of questions and comments regarding the various TV adaptations of your books.I must declare here that I've watched most of the ' Sharpe' episodes but by deliberate choice none of the 'Last Kingdom' series.I presume that when you sign away TV rights that you don't have a great say in how the film are produced either by way of casting, plotlines etc.I realise that TV is a completely different medium than the written word and for a number of reasons the books cannot be fully replicated but it would drive me up the wall to see the ways my labours are dealt with. There is one positive aspect in that people watching the films may then go on to buy the books and enter your world and increase the numbers sold.I love your style of writing and I immerse myself completely in your character's lives. To this end I find it very difficult to watch the screen versions. For example Sean Bean is a very fine actors and I really love and enjoy most of his films or TV works but I do not think he can ever be Richard Sharpe.I know you rate Sean very highly and as you know Sharpe far better than me maybe the problems on my side.To be fair to Sean I can think of no actor who could play Sharpe the way I envisage him.All of your characters and plotlines occupy a space in my mind and I'm really pleased they are there.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I very much look forward to your future projects
Best wishes
Keith
P.S. There is one way I can shoot down my argument. The late, great Pete Postlethwaite WAS Obadiah Hakeswill reborn.A truly staggering achievement
