I have thoroughly enjoyed your Sharp series, and have always read your Epilogues,especially the Battle Field Discription,.with great interest...What a pity Richard Sharp.did not follow Sir Harry .Smith,.other Rifle men and The German Legion.to British Kaffraria.. What a Gold mine of interesting happenings took place in this area...I.was fortunate  to spend the first 13 years of of my life living at British Ridge.,where on a clear day you could see Fort Cox.in the bend of the Kiskama River....Just think of all the adventures Sharp and Harper could have had    It stirs my Irish/German / Scottish Blood...Keep up giving your Readers pleasure.....

I've recently turned into a bookworm and decided to take a punt away from Sports Autobiographies with fiction and chose book 1 of The Last Kingdom Series.

I can't describe how much I love these books. I started this in mourning at been 50% through Book 9 and I am now over the moon to hear that there is a book 10.

Thank you for these books.  I am sure all of your work if fantastic and that there are other books out there that I will fall for.  At the moment though I have the fear that I am towards the end and no other books will compare.

Please cancel all other work and keep Uhtred going! :)

I can not get enough of your Saxon series. I love every line. I am currently reading "The Burning Land". As I'm reading the series, it has occurred to me that a very nice companion book would be " All the Lords Women". It could be one novel, following the tales that Uhtred himself speaks of, except, told from the point of view of the women in his life. I think this would show another side of the character in a very interesting way!

I don't know if you recall,  but 3 or 4 years ago I messaged you, because I'd been reading a wonderful book about, that indomitable Polar Explorer Tom Crean, and how I could see many similarities between him and Patrick Harper?

Well, I've been recently watching an old  ITV Mini-series called the Last Place on Earth starring Martin Shaw as Captain Scott. Tom Crean seemed familiar, and who played him? None other than Daragh O'Malley his very self!  So, Tom and Pat had even more in common that I thought, ay?

I just want to say I've just devoured the BBC adaption of your book, The Last Kingdom and really wanted to say a huge thanks for bringing such a brilliant (yet brutal) period of history to life, the formation of England. It's fascinating. I love Uhtred, what a great character. Can't wait for the second series and I promise to get around to reading the book!

I loved the BBC America televised series on The Last Kingdom.   Please tell me there are plans to produce more of same with the next books of the Saxon Chronicles.  Also, the Warriors of the Storm book has introduced and expanded upon more characters in the mix and I pray that means more Uhtred books.    I know he can't live forever, but you have made his family members and sidekicks wonderfully fascinating and they could just go on forever!  Unfortunately I can't and neither can you.  But I hope you will continue writing these wonderful books far into the future!!
