I am a 65 year old retired history teacher. I have a masters in English history and through your books I have learned so much. Of course, I check everything out. I just wish that you could write as fast as I can read. I think I have read them all but apparently there are new Sharpe books. I look forward to reading them. thank you so much.

Mr. Cornwell,
I just recently found your book The Last Kingdom, and loved it. I found it on accident and wish I had discovered your writing sooner. Thank you and I look forward to listening to and reading many more of your books.Ken Grundy
Hi Bernard,
well I'd like to say thanks to you for getting me back into reading books again. I'm married with 4 kids so tend to find personal time rather scarce, then when I did I'm afraid to say I plonked myself down in front of that Televisual box with an electronic games machine playing various mind numbing games! Then the tide turned, I was at my Uncle's Christmas Church Fayre and he was manning the book stall when he mentioned that someone had donated a large number of Sharpe books. They were to be sold as a job lot and after some badgering I relented and handed over the required payment (I'm sure he could sell sand to the Arabs!). Being a fan of the Sharpe TV series and having them on DVD I thought that I would read 1 or 2 and then leave them to gather dust on the book shelf. How wrong I was, I decided to buy the missing books in the series and read them in Chronological order, which I have just completed. I must say that I could not put the novels down as they were so
enthralling and read them 1 after the other, obviously with time scarce it was mostly in the evenings but even my Wife commented that she had never seen me read so much in our 20 years of marriage. So a heartfelt thanks for getting me away from that box in the corner of the room, it has been the games gathering dust on the shelf and not the books, which has probably not pleased Mr Sony and his cohorts. Of course this means that should you ever return to Mr Sharpe (please do!) then they must be for adventures after his last Chile escapades, otherwise I'll have to read them all again in order. I will now take a look at your Civil War series I think.Cheers,
Phill Johnson
Mr.Cornwell,
Sir I would just like to say that I have read just about all of your books. And I have enjoyed every one of the books I have had the fortune to read. Your candor and wit are very pleasant. Thank you sir for your work. I look forward to reading the books I have not read and the ones you come out with next. .Keep up the good work and thanks again.

Hello Mr. Cornwell,
I just wanted to write to you and tell you that the Saxon Stories are some of my absolute favorite books. I've had to replace a few due to wear and tear from rereading them over and over. Battle Flag was the first book I'd ever read of yours, this was years and years ago, and I've been following your work ever since. I'm an archaeologist and I credit a love of history and historical fiction as the driving force behind my career and your books feed that passion. I've even got friends and family to read your books. Thank you, sir, for many many hours of pleasurable reading and I'm eagerly awaiting Uhtred's next adventure.
Take care,
Bobby

Am currently reading the warrior chronicles and just wanted to say I have been a massive fan of the books you write. I enjoy reading the questions and comments forums and thank you for posting them. On an April 24th post, one of your readers asked if "The Pagan Lord" would be the final installment in the series. Your response was, "Nope". I must say that I have never felt so positive about such a negative word! Hurrah!!!.... For Uhtred still has further, yet, to ride!!!

P.S. "Stonehenge" is fantastic (I actually find myself getting angry with certain characters!), and the Arthur Books are on deck!
Your books are wonderful, I'm currently reading the Saxon novels for the second time.
