Dear Bernard, I enjoy your books tremendously and am a bit of an amateur historian myself (brother and sister-in-law are the professionals :-) I value the Historical Notes at the end of your books and see you as a sort of heir to George MacDonald Fraser... Looking forward to the next Thomas of Hookton and Uhtred books with bated breath... Great stuff, keep up the good work ! Julian Stargardt Hong Kong

Q

Dear Mr Cornwell. Please would it be possible for you to have yourself cloned so that we may enjoy reading more than one of your books a year? Kind regards, Mark

Q

Dear Bernard, The usual and frequent e mail about Starbuck. Looking at your site you now say Starbuck might be a few years away. If you wrote the next Starbuck sooner rather than later you would have a lot fewer questions to answer. I am not getting any younger and if I die before the next Starbuck I will never speak to you again. Regards Lee Menzies

This is true! I'm thinking on it.

Thanks for every word you have put to paper. My late daughter Brianna and I would wait for every new novel you would produce and flip a coin to see who got it first. Your first book came into my hands when I was in Malta waiting to go to Sierra Leone, it was "Sharpe's Company", and I had it read before I arrived in country and began my new position with Executive Outcomes. I can tell you that you have nailed the feelings that a man has when he first meets with a battle. Hope to meet you one day and have my favorite of yours signed by one very intuitive author. Til next time, Alan

My condolences on the loss of your daughter.

Hello, I recently discovered your Arthur series and am but a few pages from the end of the enemy of god and can't help but wonder, why oh why oh why, this trilogy has not been made into a film, Is there anything we (the fans) could do to gain interest in a film? Your Arthur series has ignited a fire inside me and as long as a movie is true to the books it would be epic. p.s once I have read the Arthur books I will then go on to discover and soak up all the saxon books have to offer, I'm sure I won't be disappointed
