the starbuck series are as entertaining as any I have read, realistic and informative, and I have become addicted. Page turners. So, yes, I join the many others, please revive Nate! You don't need to answer this. Great writing!

Hello Bernard, I contacted you via this site about 5 years ago to say how much I enjoyed your books, but surprisingly never read any Sharpe due to enjoying the TV show and not wanting to ruin that love by reading the books which would no doubt shame the TV format. Your reply was to the lines of 'just read the books Gary' well I had a number of books I wanted to read but in July of this year via my kindle (talking of kindles i would love to hear your thoughts on this wonderful advancement in reading experiences) I started from the start chronologically and I must say The last 4-5 months have been the greatest reading experiences of my life, so just wanted to say thank you Bernard
Good Morning, I Hope you are well, and ready for christmas!? I Just wanted to write a short mail to let you know how much I am enjoying "Azincourt". I genuinely think its one of the best books I have read! keep up the good work. Thanks, Graham Hancock

I just read the news stories about the Viking discoveries in England and Scotland. Wow! The main reason I recognized the details is your fantastic books. Thanks!

Mr. Cornwell, I just finished your book Death of Kings which I had been anxiously anticipating. Thank you the Saxon Stories have been an addiction of mine over the last few years. Im sure there is only a book or two left since Uhtred is getting into his 40s. I found an interesting link that you may like. http://blog.britishmuseum.org/2011/12/14/two-hoards-and-one-unknown-viking-ruler/. I continue to see the poor writing in some of these TV series and wonder why more of your series arent adopted. The Camelot series was an example. Your telling of the Arthur saga was superb. Best of luck and I will be waiting a couple of years for your next Saxon installment. Sincerely, Steven Roberts
I read your article in last week's Sunday Times magazine with interest.I just wanted to say that having spent the last 30 years as Head of English and Communication in a large college of Further Education,I enjoy reading your stories far more than some of those almost unreadable literature prize winners where plot takes second place to dry, dreary fiction.I have had to teach some of them for examinations and very few have been enjoyed by me or my students.Your Azincourt was well received by classes of young men alongside Henry V which they all enjoyed.I have loved all of your Sharpe novels especially but my real favourites have been the Saxon stories.I think that Death of Kings is superb. All of your work is well researched and extremely well written and I always look forward to each new one, especially now that I have retired and no longer have to teach dreary prize winners, some of which have been so boring.Thank you for your wonderful imagination and your meticulous research, yours sincerely, Valerie Grant.
MR Cornwell. Just a note to say thank you for greatly increasing my historical knowledge. I learnt no history at school (no interest, boring teachers). Now I know about the battle of Waterloo, Anglo saxons, vikings, Crechy and Azincourt. I have developed a desire to learn more and at 65 I find it strange. Just about to get a book on the 100 years war. I enjoy reading your books and the historical notes at the end. I am now looking forward to the paperback version of the latest Viking v Saxon series
