A friend recommended your books, and I am so glad! I just finished reading The Warlord Chronicles and that was the best interpretation of the Arthur story I've ever heard. I finished the Saxon stories first, and cannot wait until I can continue with the story of Uhtred when it is release in the U.S. Also loved the Grail Quest series....sounds like I'm drooling, but I love your books, characters and especially the historical notes that you include. Keep writing!

Just finished Death of Kings, read it in 4 days and that's quick for me. Brilliant story, the down side is I now have to wait for the next one. I never took much interest in history but your books make it all real. I was crap at school (60 years old biker). I have read every one of the Arthur, Stonehenge, Grail quest, and my favourite the saxon stories. Keep on writing

Not a question - just a comment filled with deep admiration for your writing. I have just finished reading Death of Kings, which is, as are all the Uhtred stories, brilliant. Your skill in interweaving what we can glean from historic accounts into such exciting and believable stories is breathtaking. I wait, with breath still held, for Uhtred's story to continue. Thank you for taking on this most exciting chapter in England's history... and thank you for making it so real.

Dear Mr. Cornwell, I just wanted to say thank you for the great work you have done and will continue to do. I am an avid fan. I have a book in me somewhere and if it ever does come out, it will be because of the stories you have created and the inspiration you have given me. Thank you!

Mr. Cornwell, I never expected to be a fan. I thought your genres were not going to be appealing to me. But someone gave me a copy of Lords of the North in audio form, and I listened to it and loved it. Had to read the series after that! I'm all caught up now and have just ordered Death of Kings. I've also started on the Sharpe series. Thank you!

I have really enjoyed reading the Saxon series. I got the first two as paperback without reading any of your other books and I was hooked. Every new book I have bought in hardback but because my bookshelf then looked odd I bought the first two again in hardback and gave my paperback copies to my dad. He's not been much of a reader, just picked the odd book every now & then but he has read these in no time. I'll be buying him the rest for Christmas. You now have yet another fan as he has started reading the Sharpe books too. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next instalment :-)

I have been a fan of yours for the past six years and I wanted to thank you for every adventure that you have taken me on. You truly are one of the great writers of our time and have enjoyed your books on early Britain. Keep up the great work!

Hi! Thought you may like this link:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-15333852. The UK's first fully intact Viking boat burial has been found in the West Highlands! The remains of the Viking and their objects they were buried with have all been found including sword, spear and shield. Just thought you may like to know! Cheers, Neal

Any news about Vikings reminds me of Uhtred: "1,000-Year-Old Viking Found Buried In His Boat" http://www.npr.org/2011/10/22/141613693/1-000-year-old-viking-found-buried-in-his-boat.

It's a very exciting find, and thank you - I have been following the news. It seems to have been a small ship burial, but still fascinating. I look forward to seeing the full report when it's published.
