Hi Bernard- Just to say that I have read all your books and my favorite read is the Arthur series. I have read them 3 times now and get a great sense of being there in the story.I never tire of them and always find something new. I am loving the saxon series and cannot wait for the next chapter. Your gift as a story teller has given my great pleasure over the years and I love to escape from the real world and throw myself into the past. I love history and enjoy the way you bring it to life. Keep up the good work. Ian, a fan

Praise be to Odin! (Well, I suppose you get some credit as well!) Uhtred will ride again, and in this year! Serpent Breath will find flesh once more, Wasp Sting will pierce both hearts and ankles once again, while Uhtred follows his heart and path that will one day return him to Bebbenburg! All hail Uhtred! (Can you tell I am excited?) Fantastic news to see plans for an October release. Thanks, Mr. Cornwell...thanks!

I have read all your saxon books, the very first books that I have read in a series, they are to me, the best, thank you for getting me to read again, can't wait for the next in the series, but 2010 is a long way of, so my wife suggested I read your Arthur series, so I'm buying them next, maybe one day I can meet you to get you to sign the first saxon book for me, thanks from a new fan.

Dear Mr. Cornwell. I am a 20 year College Student from Auburn, Washington. I am a fan of literature and novels, particularly the historical fiction and fantasy variety. I found out about your work basically by chance. I was in Canada with my parents on our boat when we stopped by a dock in order to refuel and get supplies. At the dock gas station and shop, there was a display of used books, including one used copy of Vagabond. It looked cool, so I decided to buy it. As soon as I read the first paragraph, it hooked me in and hasn't let go since. Every time I finished a page, I was filled with an overwhelming feeling of excitement at what the next page contained. Your works are some of the best books I have ever read. After finishing the Grail series, I started reading the Sharpe's books, but am currently reading Agincourt. It's fantastic and John Cornwaile is one of the greatest badasses in fiction. I look forward to reading your upcoming novels. A Diehard Fan, Adam J. Fix
Hello Bernard! My wife and I recently vacationed in Portugal. First trip there for both of us. The topography north of Lisbon to Oporto was a real eye-opener. To imagine what the soldiers of Wellington's and Massena's armies had to endure on foot and horseback: always another hill to climb or river to ford. Looking at the ruins of old windmills atop every hill, it is easy to conjure up an image of what the forts along the Lines at Torres Vedras might have looked like from Massena's perspective. Undoubtedly a landscape favoring entrenched defenders. I posted some photos of Fort Saint Vincent, Torres Vedras on the Bernard Cornwell fan club Facebook page. Powder dry, blade oiled, awaiting the next Sharpe adventure. Obrigado! Kelly Dudgeon.
My Cornwell, I would like to reiterate a comment made by reader on may 6th. I have read the Saxon Stories on Kindle. I have read Agincourt on Kindle and I have read 14 of the Sharpe series on Kindle. Could you please insist that the balance of the Sharpe series be placed on Kindle. I love your work.
Chris
I'll see what I can do! Thanks.
Good Afternoon, I just finished the book Agincourt. I though that it was one of your best yet. My favorite books so far are the Heretic, and the other two in the same vein. In reading about the battle of Agincourt there were times I felt that I was in the battleline fighting with all the others. It is my thought that YOU write a good yarn. Have a great day, David Mortensen
Dear Bernard, I collected Napoleonic Toy soldiers as a boy and have enjoyed most of your books over the years. Your recent television series is very interesting and I am looking forward to the next episode with much interest. I have over the years collected Soldiers from the period from many different providers and have recently discovered a company called First Legion who have figures sculpted in St Petersburg but have them produced and Painted to a very high stand in China. The owner of this company Matt Pavone has been most helpful in helping me build my collection and has provided much historical background, his figures are truly excellent. He does not know that I have or am contacting you Bernard. I just thought you may take a look at his website you may find it interesting. Very historically accurate work. Thanks for the work you do, I have learned a lot and enjoyed some good reading. Bill Wilson UK. I am not connected with the above company in any way I just collect their Napoleonic figures and they do not know I have sent you this message wishing you continued success. www.firstlegionltd.com.
Thank you - it is very interesting!
Dear Mr. Cornwell, The Gallows Thief would make a great movie. It's a wonder it hasn't been done. Regards, Ralland J. Fortier
I just wanted to tell you that I'm SOO looking forward to the fifth Alfred novel to come out in October!!! Great books! I especially like how Uhtred sees the contrast between the Nordic beliefs and the Christian religion, and all the irony. Thank God you've written so much already, and I hope you'll make it to 120 in good health (and writing mood), so the supply will never end ;-). (Unlike Swedish author Stieg Larsson who produced three extraordinary novels only to pass away at 50...)! Greetings from Germany Gundula Manderscheid
