I just wanted to say that I have read the grail, saxon, and Arthur series, and that all are remarkably well written and enjoyable. Your ability to create a relatable persona in these characters who take place in far different times and landscapes is as good as I have seen, and I have read a lot of books and authors. Uhtred is one of my all time favorite characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Arthur series as well. Thank you for providing us with books to look forward to, as they are always a welcome addition to any evening. Thanks, and good luck with your future novels!

Dear Mr. Cornwell - my Dad referred me to the first of your Sharpe series a few years ago. It was so bad, I quickly devoured the rest of the series, each worse than the next! Since then I've read nearly all the rest of your tedious works, the Camelot tales being a particular disappointment! Next on my list are the 4th Saxon story and "Azincourt." I feel ill at the thought of opening them. Despite my utter distaste for all you've created, wishing you and yours a safe and happy new year! - Bob K, Severna Park, MD ;-)

I have read all your Sharpe books Arthur books and own the warlord series and also your grail series with exception of heretic. Please keep doing what your doing' Every time I read one of your books its like a very exciting history lesson and really gets me excited about reading. Q

Hello Mr. Cornwell. You probably hear this quite a bit, but I just wanted to tell you that I think you are an absolutely amazing writer. It's just incredible how many history books you must read in order to gather all of the information you need to write one of your books. Not to mention the many other ways you gather information. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your work. We are very lucky to have you spill your imagination onto the pages we read. Your friend, Julia

Q

Dear Sir, I received a hardback copy of Azincourt from my eldest son as a Christmas present and have just finished reading it at teatime on Boxing day. An absolute joy to read, I just couldn't put it down. My son has now taken the book to read and my wife has already asked for it afterwards. Just brilliant. We are also looking forward to hearing more of Uhtred in the near future. Our thanks for all the happy hours we spend reading your books. Yours Sincerely Tom Murrell

Q

Q

Hello Mr Cornwell, I´m from Brazil and I have to say the you are my favorite writer!!! The first book that I read that you wrote was The Winter King. And I have to admit. I forgot every single story that I already read about King Arthur and assume that the one that you create is the real one!!! You are a great writer. Please, go on with the Saxon Stories!!!! I really like Uhtred!!! Oh... and sorry for the bad English !!! Carlos Eduardo

Q

Dear Bernard, Just a quick note to thank you for the hours of enjoyment I have gotten out of your books. I finished the Warlord Chronicles for the second time in the wee hours of the morning and found even more enjoyment out of them the second time through. I wish that a series were made out of Derfel's epic for television, if only to bring this story to more people. In any case, I whole-heartedly recommend the books at every opportunity.
Matt

Q

Dear Bernard, I first picked up "Harlequin" at a holiday home in a small town in South Australia, much to the dismay of my children who could not prise it out of my white-knuckled hands. I have since thoroughly enjoyed as many of your stories as I can find, and when I was recently made redundant from my job, I thought "Goody! now i can read Bernard Cornwell ALL DAY!" I am so looking forward to the next Saxon Chronicle, may you never be short of ideas and RAM. Happy new Year, Chris

Q

Now I've done it! I finished book four of the Starbuck Chronicles and have discovered that Nate is twisting in limbo indefinitely. This just will not do. I'm afraid I must insist that the series be finished so we will know Nate's fate and our knowledge of the great Civil War battles will be even more complete. Very good job so far.. you must marshal your forces and push on. dls
