Dear Mr. Cornwell, Like most of the other well wishers on the bulletin board, I started with one of your stories and was so impressed I moved on to other of your books. Thomas of Hookton drew me in, and Uhtred and Nate keep me coming back. I love the balance of entertainment and education your books give to readers. I spend almost as much time looking up information on the historical characters in your books as I do reading the books themselves. Thanks for the countless hours of entertainment. Oh, and please tell me Nate is doing well. I need more Starbuck.

Hello there, I just wanted to let you know that I am a big fan of your "Saxon Tales" book series. Even though I have had to read them out of order, I still believe that they are part of the greatest series I have ever come across. Never before have I been so immersed into a time, place and culture I previously knew nothing about. I want to say thank you because though your books you have rekindled my love for reading, something I have not loved doing in a long time. In the future I hope to read some of your other works and I am looking forward to your next book in the "Saxon Tales" series. Thanks again, Jake
I would like to say thank you for the Saxon books. Before these books I had only read one and a half books used by the English education system. I had a slight interest in vikings but when a friend passed me the books, taking me for a reader, at the age of 42 I was drawn into a great new experience " Books that hold my attention" Thanks Bernard you have opened my eyes!

Thank you for giving me endless hours of pleasure, you are a brilliant author, and I always feel I have been transported back to the time and scene of the action. I was recommended to read your books, by one of my brothers Michael. Thank you, I have already read Azincourt. Keep up the good work! Duncan Gormley-Lake
Good afternoon Mr. Cornwell. 'Stonehenge' was released a few days in Brazil. Congrulatulation! The introduction of history, the first phrases are amazing!

I'm an italian inveterate reader of your books. Mainly I like the Saxon Stories and the Grail Quest. I wonder how you can write so many books in such a short time. Congratulations ! Roberto Nobile
Hello Mr. Cornwell Re. Azincourt May I offer my sincere congratulations on a truly epic book. I am not a huge reader as I generally find that if a book doesn't 'catch' me in the first 20 pages or so then I tend to forget about it. I bought Azincourt on Monday and ended up reading it in 4 evenings.....my only disappointment is that it wasn't another 400 pages. I was totally engrossed from page 1. It was playing like a movie in my head and I could hardly wait to home from work each day to carry on where I had left off. I hope one day it will be a movie....or better still a lavish series as a movie would be too short. Thanks again and good luck for your future projects. Kevin
Dear Mr Cornwell, I just thought I'd drop a note to commend you on your work as I've become a recent reader although I've known of Sharpe through the tv for a good while of course. I found and read Sharpe's tiger whilst on holiday in Greece earlier this year and was surprised at how much i loved it - no offence meant -i just never had any interest in the era up to that point. I then read your warlord trilogy and thoroughly enjoyed them and am now onto book two of your Saxon books. The reason i write is to tell you how fascinated I have become in British history through simply reading your novels. I have had an interest in oriental martial arts since a teen and am a black belt instructor in wing chun kung fu and for god -knows-what reason never felt the same fascination with my own British heritage. However, the warlord books altered all that, and I have felt a pride in British culture I've never felt before, and more so now that I've started the Saxon series. I myself come from the north east (south Shields) and have visited St Bede's church at Jarrow as well as holding Bamburgh Castle close to my heart from childhood trips out - and so, to read about them in such a romantic and magical fashion has been a joy. That aside, my name is Nicholson, which I've been led to believe is of scandinavian descent, and so the reading of this Saxon saga has given me a view of perhaps my ancestors existence all those years ago and of when my family name may have arrived at these shores. So, quickly put, I'm reading your stuff, loving it and it's making me want to find out more about my country's history, as well as feel that little bit more impressed by it. So thanks for that. All the very best for the future, Paul Nicholson
Hello Bernard...I have just read Azincourt a fantastic read I felt as if i was in the battle I felt exhausted just reading it....Thanks again for the hours of entertainment you have given me in your books..John from Liverpool
I have been reading the Sharpe series since 2004 and have never tired of them; I tell people about them as often as I can, hopefully, without being boring. when I retired I renewed my interest in military history. Keep writing and I will read them.
