I finished Sword Song some time back and as I am sure you are often told the entire Saxon series is very special. I am guessing we may never see a new Novel on the Arthur Books are the Grail Quest and I am sure that is often asked but it would be so great to see a new novel on each of the main characters - they are still fairly young and more adventure could follow. Thanks so much for your time - Mike Wagoner U.S.N. retired

am finishing up Robyn Young's Crusade the 2nd of the series. They are very good - learned a lot about the Templar Knights. They are not as exciting as the Saxons or Britons of King Arthur. Thank you Mike Wagoner

You are right - no plans to add to either the Arthur books or the Grail Quest series.

Mr. Cornwell, I enjoyed the Warrior series and the Stonehenge books, then more recently have had total hip replacement surgery, from which I'm recovering with the help of sergeant/lieutenant/captain Sharpe. I'm developing an ambition to go to the VA and read the series to any veterans who care to listen. They're that good--the vets and the books!!! Jill Ferguson

What a nice idea! Hope the Vets like it - and hope you recover from the hip replacement soon!

Dear Mr. Cornwell, sitting here in rainy Germany, it is a great delight for me reading your books. After starting with the Saxon Stories (looking really forward for part 4 in German)I took the "Grail Quest" and currently I`m reading the "Enemy of God". I want to congratulate you to your writing style and I have to admit, that it is probably the best I read in terms of historical novels. I recommended your works to several colleagues of mine and I can assure you, they share my opinion. Please continue this way. Wish you all the best for the future and remain, with best regards from Lake Constance. Yours, Damir Mulic

Dear Mr Cornwell, It was not just so long ago that I discovered your books. I went to live with my grandparents in Portugal about 4 years ago, and my grandad gave me a book to read (the first book of your grail quest) it was the only one he had, however after reading it I was hooked. I never used to read books, but to humor my grandad I did. I can say now that I am hooked. I called my mum (back in the uk at the time) to get the next book in series. to date I have read all of the grail quest, the Arthur books, Stonehenge, but the books you have done that has really impressed me are the Saxon Stories. I love history, and every week I have been going into every book store where I work for your latest book on the Saxon stories. I read your last book Sword Song, it was fantastic. I Cant wait till you write the next part. Anyway, thank you for getting me involved in books again, i love reading now, but your books are the best. thanks for listening Phil Isaac

I have just finished reading Lords of the North & Excalibur and I was very pleased to read that when you wrote in it God's name you correctly named him as Jehovah. I was a bit surprised as normally people make an error and omit his correct name but you didn't and I was very pleased about that. It proves to me that you take your research really seriously and do it correctly.Great books by the way. Love the Sharpe series too.best regards Jon

Dear Mr Cornwell, I've just been to Spain for the summer holidays, before we went we checked your books (I think I own & read them all (more than once))for the tips about scenes/ sights/ cities etc and we saw some excellent sights which weren't in the guidebooks. Thank you for that!! Also can't wait for the new book, keep on writing!! Kind regards, Antoinette

Q

first, sorry my bad english. let me explain: 1 month ago, my brother came up with a book here at home, according to him, a gift for my anniversary (my birthday was July 30, he came up with this book a month earlier). The book? The Last Kingdom... nothing special for me at that time, I had already heard Your name as author of the book The Tale Archers, but had not read that book. So, I started to read the book (The Last Kingdom one), because I like to read, and my brother, so calculist, knew that... I finished the book (not so fast, because of my work, system analyst... computers thing), bought the next (The Pale Horseman) one and half week ago, in one beautiful Sunday, on Tuesday following i finished that one, and the same day I bought the third (The Lords of the North)... the following Friday i went back in the bookstore, and they informed me that the fourth edition in Portuguese only come in the first days of August, and I did not find an English version here at my city, and I really tried to find, so i bought The Winter King... You know, to pass the time until August, one week... but then, the following Tuesday, I was back in the bookstore, buying the second edition, Enemy of God, that I finished to read today... (birthday celebrations... take me more time in reading)... My calculist brother? bought just one book and read five, not counting those i will buy next (Saturday i will be in the bookstore again). Why I'm telling you this this long history?: because I need two big favors, first: please!, write a fifth book of The Saxon Stories (and sixth, seventh, eighth... don't stop it!!!)... second, and most important: have a long life, live it well, and write more, much more, so that my addiction with Your writing always has a book to calm... yes, its a selfish desire, but the fault is yours and of my brother, You was the one who wrote, and my calculist brother introduced me your book... and now i love both of you! cheers!!!!!!! Hugo Rodrigues

Thank you Hugo - and thank your brother for me as well! I will write more books to the Saxon stories, I promise!
