Hi, I'm Italian Boy, I hope that your new books come in Italy very fast because they are very beautiful and I want to read in the little time. Sorry for my English. Best wishes, Mattia Pasetti

Dear Mr. Cornwell, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your books. I have read every one and I am now on the Saxon Stories. I read mostly historical fiction and I have been reading for at least 50 years and yours are THE BEST. Please keep writing because as soon as I finish a book I miss it and the characters in it. Thanks again. Kathleen J. Miller
My favourite character is Sharpe, and I especially love the first three books in India when Sharpe was a proper redcoat. I was also amazed by Arthur Wellesley's victories at Ahmednuggur, Assaye and Gawilghur, of which I had never heard before. Strange though it seems, my other favourite character is tom Garrard, even though he is not mentioned a lot. Matteo
"Sword Song" just found and read. Thank you. No reply expected.

I am painfully waiting for book five of the Saxon series! It would seem to me that Uhtred needs to figure out a way to take on his uncle soon or I am going to be feeling a bit to led on by you. No more Carrot in front of the horse-its time! Regardless, whatever you come up with next I will have to read. I am a history buff, lived in Nottingham for a year and drove 20,000 + miles. Been to and read a lot about most of the areas you write about. Great fun and I love your writing style. Just starting Stonehenge. My best to you. Do you know about Brocs (sp) and Duns?
Jack Dale Raddatz
I'm not quite sure what you're referring to - Broc? Old English for brook? Dun could be translated as fortress.
Mr. Cornwell, As a student of history and an aspiring author, I have come to value your work not only for the significant entertainment value, but also for its scholarly merit as well. Though I'm sure this isn't the first time you've heard this, and certainly not the last, I've become a big fan in the year or two since I discovered your work (quite by accident, I might add). I'm a great fan of ancient history and early British history, alike and recently took History of England course at the University I attend. The professor of the aforementioned course, while very intelligent, was, well, unintelligible. I'm proud to say that simply venturing with Uhtred through Wessex and now into Northumbria has given me considerable insight into the world of the Anglo-Saxons and the Danes. I hope soon to begin on your Arthur and Grail books, but as I'm sure your aware, reading time can quite be at a premium. Perhaps at some point in the future I might be in a position to request a signature, but at the moment I'm very much contented to simply enjoy your work and to make you aware of how your writing has impacted me, not only personally, but potentially professionally as well. I appreciate you taking the time to read this, sir, as I'm sure you have quite a lot more that you could be doing, and I hope that it finds you in the best of fortune. --Dustin Parrish
Thank you.
I started to read your series last Xmas and am now at "Sharps Siege", I love them so much that my wife complains that He is worse than a mistress. I live in Belgium and bought the series in one go from Waterstones in Brussels. Great work. Patrick
I was reading Sharpe's Trafalgar for the third time very much enjoying Captain Chase and Bosun Hopper. Now that the Napoleonic Wars are done, I was thinking you might have a great Sharpe story about Col.Sharpe (promoted), Commodore Chase (promoted), Harper, and Hopper on a mission for Lord Pumphrey far a sea. I can't see how that kind of combination could fail to enthrall readers everywhere. And remember, Sharpe has one remaining enemy still alive. Get Captain Morris out of Ireland and send him along too because Sharpe probably dreams about getting even. Huh, and maybe Sweet William has forgiven Sharpe by now having married an Indian princess in America? Lots of laughs and adventure!

Dear Bernard, I have recently finished all the Saxon Stories published to date. I am looking forward to the next release. I hope this series will eventually be adapted to movies or television like the Sharpe series. David
Bernard Cornwell: You have to be the greatest writer of our time and perhaps times past. I have read every one of your books except COAT OF ARMS. In fact I have them all but COAT Of ARMS. Please clean up some of the loose ends before you start a new series, e.g. Blythe has to get his just punishment and Bebbanburg must be returned to its rightful owner? Thanks for what you have written and keep up the excellent work. Phil Karam
