Q

Mr. Cornwell, I recently finished your most recent book in the Saxon Stories and was wondering/hoping that there will be at least one more book in the series. Yes? Thanks, Dennis

A

Yes - at least several more.

I am a retired dentist in Vero Beach Fl. and an avid reader of many books on many subjects. Having read and enjoyed most of the books you have written I finally feel that I should let you know of the pleasure you have given me. Also do keep the Saxon Tales going----Very interesting--Yours I. S. Robinson

Q

Just wanted to share my very real pleasure with you. I have loved (and continue to re-read and enjoy) the Sharpe books. The Lords of the North kept me up 'til 1:30 last night as I couldn't not find out what happened to Uthred and Ivarr before I slept. These three boks about Uthred are excellent and I am so excited as I read each. I am a professional technical writer - high school student Social Studies textbooks for Oxford University Press in Canada - so I particularly appreciate the maps, explantory and historical notes that accompany your books. Thank you for the many hours of of pleasure you have given me.

Hello Bernard Enjoyed the films immensely first time round and having got the set of DVD's for Christmas my wife now regrets the present. However, just bought the novel 'Sharpe's Tiger' and I cannot help but imagine Pete Poselthwaithe (hope it's correct) as Obadiah and Sean as Sharpe every time they have speech inserted. Brilliant! I know you say you don't want ideas but for me, a very keen Second World War man, it would be excellent to add this era for a new format as I think your research, history and geography is superb. The TV needs a new series as I'm fed up with reality tv programs and soaps. All the best Grant 33, married with 3 and have never responded to any of my favourite authors before!

A

Thanks, but I do prefer to stick to the more distant past.

Q

This is the first time that I have ever written an author even though I am an avid reader. I got hooked on The Arthur Books and am now devouring the Sharpe Books. I find that when I begin reading Sharpes adventures I am transported into his world. Cliche but true. Being a retired soldier and interested in Military / UK History your books are perfect for me. This missive is a Thank You for many hours of pleasurable reading. I hope you keep writing forever. Paul Bennett Brampton,Ontario Canada

Q

Dear Mr. Cornwell, I just finished "Lords of the North," which I found to be very enjoyable and up to your usual high standards. I have read the entire Sharpe, Starbuck, Warlord, Grail and Saxon series, as well as most of your individual novels, and have derived unmeasurable pleasure from each of them. I was therefore delighted to see that Uhtred will carry Serpentbreath in future novels as well. I look forward to them with relish. Best regards, Glenn Trost, Altadena, California

Q

Bernard: I have just read Gallows Thief and thoroughy enjoyed it, partly because the characters were so convincing but also because it was good to read a novel set in the period immediately after Waterloo. I also liked the idea of a special Investigator. So, could I add my plea to that of others for some more books about Rider Sandman. Eric Walsby

Q

Mr. Cornwell, I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your books, especially the latest I've read, The Last Kingdom. As a professional freelance copy editor, I am very selective about my recreational reading and this was an excellent choice. I sincerely hope that the NY Public Library e-books division will purchase the rest of the series, as that is my only source of reading materials at this time. I have requested that they do so, since--with a spine injury--I find it much easier to read on a laptop than by holding a book. Thanks again for many good reads. Sara Schwager, CNY Editorial Inc

Q

Greetings from a far land called Brazil! I´m just writting to let you know how good it was for me to read the Arthur Books. I was wondered about the Britain´s old stories and how Arthur was treated like a man, not a magic hero. I just finished reading the first book of the Saxon Stories and found it as wondrefull as the Arthur Books. I look forward to read the other 2 books, but I´ll have to wait until they´re published in portuguese. Not because I can´t read, wich is obvious that I can, but because it takes a long time for them to be published and I can never find them in English (I would have to pre-order, and it´d take like 8 weeks to get them). Anyway, just wanted to say "hi" and pray for you to keep sharing with us these stories that makes our lives less boring. Thank you! Daniel Huamani

I just wanted to drop a quick note and thank you for the fantastic latest edition to the Saxon Stories. I just finished Lords of the North and found it to be my favorite of the 3 books yet (and they are all exceedingly good). My mother, an American who has traced her lineage to the Danes and Normans who settled England between the 9th and 11th centuries, first introduced me to the Saxon Stories, and I have since also begun reading the Grail Quest series, and I have the Arthur Books & Stonehenge waiting to be read. Keep up the marvelous work! Peter Hendricks
