Dear Mr. Cornwell I have now finished reading all the Sharpe's books as well as the Starbuck chronicles and am waiting eagerly for the next Starbuck's adventures. It was nice to read about Sharpe's son visiting as an observer in the Starbuck's episode and wonder if there will be any further references to Sharpe or Harper's son if he had any. Keep up with your writing, thanks again. Doreen Amadatsu

I think there will be, if and when I get back to Starbuck.

As a great fan haven't yet read the Arthurian series as Sharpe et al and life delaying the pleasure. Everyone in Shropshire knows that Arthur was one of the last Romano/Celtic Kings of Powys whose Camelot was Wroxeter, the only functioning Roman civil town structure left in Arthurian times after the Saxons came from the east and took the other Roman towns (such as London etc.). He is buried not far from Shrewsbury where you can see his grave to this day (well its it's a lump in the churchyard) When I read your Arthurian series I am sure I will be charmed by them even if they are not set in the right place. But I might be back with that cold rage Sharpe gets in battle and write all sorts of stuff about Arthur when I have read it. Sharpe is a great hero, when I went to India a long time ago I got dysentary, but Sharpe's bowels, as all his organs, are a marvel. Tim Browning

Every time I go to India I put on weight. Food's delicious, never get sick, so Sharpe's like me in that. And I hope your rage is not too incandescent.

Regarding Becky McCollum's comment that she lives in a small town and cannot find Sharpe videos. Never fear, dear lady, check out Netflix online. You can order them online and receive them in the mail. You can return them in the provided postage paid envelope and there are no overdue fees. There's more but I won't bore you with it. Guy E. Orr

Thanks Guy!

Q

Mr. Cornwell, I have been a fan of your work for, literally, decades. I first bought Sharpe's Eagle in 1983 and have looked forward to every book you put out. I just bought A Crowing Mercy and am glad you decided to take on the English Civil War. Cheers and keep up the brilliant works. You are a gift to all military history buffs. Regards, Erik von Rossing Silver Spring, MD.

Q

Dear Mr Cornwell I have just finished reading Harlequin and will certainly buy Vagabond and Heretic. As with 'The Winter King' trilogy I found the characters and the story line absolutely compelling and therefor feel I must thank you for writing such inspirational novels. I even want to take up archery now! Thomas of Hookton is a truely believable heroic character, like Derfel, and I find my self reading into the small hours to see how they progress. The atmosphere of elation and horror you depict in your battle scenes is spot on and I almost want to shout "St George" myself as the English attack! I know I will re-read these books many times over. Thanks again and Kind regards. Richard Jones

I have just finished Sharp's Eage and I was blown away by the reality of the battles scenes that you created. It isn't hard to glorfiy war, but it is harder to show what it actually is without goint overboard. Your straight matter-of-fact presentation does just that, in my opinion. Thak you for wonderful prose, a good story and a history lesson to boot. AMN

Q

Dear Mr. Cornwell, I truly enjoy your books. With that said, I'd like to go one step further and commend you on your website and the gentlemanly and often kind replies that you offer to your numerous fans. It's refreshing to find a public figure that maintains manners. I was delighted to discover the Richard and Lucille's son in the Starbuck Chronicles and look forward to hearing how he became so battle scarred and experienced firsthand. Thanks for your work! Bill

Q

Dear Mr Cornwell, As both a history graduate and fomer bookseller, I have been aware of your novels for many years. I also have friends and work colleagues who read and eagerly recommend your books. Finally, I have taken the plunge and read Sharpe's Eagle (your first book). It's just as good as your reputation suggests and brings history vividly to life. Your excellent website is rightly full of people who have read and appreciated all or most of your novels. I, on the other hand, feel to be at the beginning of a great journey. Wish me luck - and keep writing! Jon Atkin, Manchester, GB

Dear Mr.Cornwell, I would first like to forgive me for my english, I don't know how to write very well in your language. So forgive me for that. In Brazil the Heretic still not avaible in stores, but certainly I´ll buy it. All my friends had read your books and all of them love it. Now I´m awaiting the release of the Last Kingdom in Brasil.I can´t wait. God bless you. Your Fan A.R
