Hello Mr. Cornwell: I have really enjoyed your books over the years. I am a professional engineer working on contract in the remote Oil fields of northern Alberta, Canada.. I am a big reader and outside of a single book, ‘The Shipping News’ by Annie Proulx, I believe that you are the best writer I have ever been fortunate to read. I have used your books, particularly the Saxon Series, to encourage my two daughters, Rebecca and Abby, to read. Both started to read your series when they were 12 and Abby, who is 13 is now on ‘Lords of the North’. She has spent a quite a few nights up late reading that and the ones previous. I have tried and failed to read your Arthur Series. Your writing style in that series is so different from the Saxon and Grail Quest Series and the Agincourt, which were amazingly good. Regardless… I have told my girls that you are the best writer writing today and so we believe that. I named my Hunter sailboat, Stormchild, after your super book, much to my wife’s chagrin. I read in previous questions to you that the next book in the Saxon Series is coming out next Autumn. My girls will demand that we buy it, immediately when it comes out, and then they will fight over who ‘owns’ it and who therefore has controlling rights over who reads it first. Thanks so much for the gift of your writing to us, my family. It has educated us, thrilled us, offered us hours of escape and challenged me and the girls to write also. Cheers Robert Seasting et al.
