Dear Mr. Cornwell, I have thoroughly enjoyed your Saxon Chronicles series and am delighted that another one is due out in the UK before very long (I have got it pre-ordered just to be on the safe side). I think these would make an excellent TV Series or film but understand that with budgets the way they are at the moment the possible large cast for the battles may make it too expensive. I know you said you have little influence on who reads your material as audio books, but I do hope that this time the publishers have the sense to use Richard Armitage again – if only for the fact that it will mean they sell a lot more!! Like many others I will buy the novel but would also buy it as an audio book. In Lords of the North he captured the Uhtred that comes through in your books and, if they ever do get filmed, I cannot think of anyone else who would suit the part more. There was recently – on the Discover Channel – a whole programme about this period in English History and I can only compliment you on the research you put into your books as it was almost like watching a documentary of Uhtred’s life.
