hello Mr Cornwell, I just finished Sword Song; another excellent story, Uhtred is just a fantastic character. The way you create your ‘heroes’ as being very human is really wonderful! I was wondering how you start your stories; do you first create a kind of draft or synopsis?

I heard your next story is about Agincourt, great! I cannot wait, the Archers tale was very good, this is also in the hundred year war. What period would you like to visit next in a book? I would like to read a story about Roman Britain… By the way; your small dedication in front of Sword Song contains a small error; in dutch the word ‘with’ is written as ‘met’ and not as ‘mit’ (this is the German word ‘with’) It was a surprise to find a small dutch text in your book! As I am dutch, but read almost only the English versions.
