Dear Mr Cornwell Thank you for your latest answer to my question. It gives me the right perception on the role the church plays in your books. I always thought that the Churchmen (in your books) were overly ambitious and greedy which leads them to be cruel but could not really figure out why the church as a whole did not stop the cruelty. But I know now that they were like an expanding empire. And you don’t build an empire without breaking some eggs I guess. When you have do news concerning Dutch translations I would like to hear it.
