I have just bought your new book the Lords of the North to read on holiday. I could not put it down and now have no book to read when away. Why did you stop it were you did, why could not they have marched to take Bebbanburg. It feels that you have only told half the tale. I need to know what the next book in the series is to be so I can finish the story. Excellent read – I can not remember the last time I was left on the edge of my seat by a book. Many Thanks Best regards, Greg Chadwick
Hello Bernard, I first stumbled across your writings when my Welsh uncle lent me a copy of the Winter King and I must say that no Author since Roald Dahl in my childhood has quite had the impact on my reading habits since that one faithful event. I read through the Warlord Chronicles and enjoyed them immeasurably. Since then I have read the grail quest and recently I have started your saxon tales. After picking up the Last Kingdom last year I had been waiting for The Pale Horseman to come to a local bookstore for 6 months which felt like a lifetime. I stumbled across both The Pale Horseman and The Lords of the North last week whist looking through my local Waterstones. Both of which I immediatley purchased and ran away like an over excited school girl and read both books in 2 days. My question is when is the next of Uhtred’s tales to be put to paper? To say I am looking forward to future books in the series is an understatment. Anyway, I would like to take this opertunity to wish you every success in the future and hope that you continue to write many more wonderful books! Yours Sincerly, Marc Keys
