I just wanted to say thank you for all the joy you have given me over the past few years. I first came to your books via the Sharpe novels, being a huge fan of the fabulous TV series featuring Sean Bean.
Having devoured every Sharpe novel, I then graduated to the Grail Quest series and am now working my way through the Saxon Chronicles series, having just finished book IV (‘Sword Song’). I thoroughly appreciate the amount of research that obviously goes into each and every book you write. Whilst you admit to taking a few liberties with historical characters from time to time, the amount of historical fact you manage to weave within such (seemingly) effortless and enjoyable writing is incredible and yet is never overwhelming.

Never before have I felt the compulsion to read every book an author has written, until now. I find I cannot wait to see what happens next to the characters I have come to love. 2 more books of the Saxon Chronicles to go and then I KNOW I’m going straight on to the Arthur books!
