Hello, I went on holiday with my family to Ithica (Greece) in 2005 and in that resort was a box of book, that if you put an old book of yours in, you can take a book out of the box. I picked up The Last kingdom and I don’t normally read books fast but I could not put it down. Simple amazing book that can get anyone hooked on the story. And written in such a way that you feel the full range of human emotions, which we all have, from the inside of a warrior, which we don’t think they do. This year I bought the rest of the books on amazon for less than a few quid, yet the books to me are priceless. I am currently in the middle of The Lords of the North. In school history we never learn about Britain before 1066, so thank you for informing me about the probably the greatest king we have ever had, and I’m fascinated to learn more about these times. Uhtred is a great character and I can’t wait to just keep on reading just to see what happens. I’ve read all the Harry Potter’s and Lord of the Rings which were fantastic, but these books I’ve read just have an extra dimension to them, and I lent the books to a few friends that now love them. I just want to thank you for these wonderful books you have written and after I finish the saxon stories i can’t wait to read the other books you have written. Lastly I can’t see why the story of Uhtred won’t make a fantastic film, and could have the same impact as Lord of the Rings did when it made the big screen. Thank you again, James Green
