This book is a marvel to any fan of historical fiction. Set during the Crusades under King Henry III (c.1260) It is the story of the Knights Templar and a secret society to save humanity and bring about peace during the savage wars against the muslims.
This book is written in the same flowing dialogue you are accustomed to with Bernard Cornwell and the battle scenes are described with great incite and elegance. A totally compelling and utterly breathtaking read from start to finish. I cannot recommend this book enough.
