This is a fantastic book. Haythornthwaite shows us ten dramatic actions of the Napoleonic Wars, focusing on the courage and bravery of the fighting soldiers, showing the Napoleonic battle in all its horror and glory.
The introduction is a very good examination of the soldiers themselves and shouldn't be missed.
The book would go along quite well with the battle-scenes in the Sharpe series.
Heartily reccomended to anyone with even a passing interest in military history (or as once was the case with me) or the Napoleonic Wars.
