Eagle and Empire is the third and final book in the Clash of Eagles trilogy. Taking place right after the events of books 2, Roman Praetor Gaius and his Cahokian allies must prepare for war as the Mongols advance from the west in hopes of gaining more territory for the Mongol Empire. Once again Gaius is thrust into the middle as he tries to keep the alliance between the Roman empire and the Cahokians. New enemies emerge, friends will fall and one final battle will the decide not only the fate of the Cahokian nation and its people, but the fate of all Nove Hersperia. Alan Smale creates a fitting conclusion to a well beloved trilogy and does not disappoint his readers.
