This is the third book of the Emperor series.Julius Caesar,after returning to Rome from his term in Spain with his mighty legion, has taken all his legions north to war with the Gallic tribes, in what would be known as the Gallic Wars.The way Iggulden described the battles, you can easily picture it in your mind as you read and I appreciate vivid descriptions.
The four novels of Emperor are all fantastic, but this is the one I truly love. Iggulden once said that whichever of the four you like the most was quite revealing about your character.
