Empire of Dragons blends the worlds and cultures of the west and the east. When Roman soldier Metellus, his emperor and men get captured by their enemies the Persians, they are sold into slavery. However, Metellus and ten of his trusted men escape with the aide of their emperor Publius who dies during the escape. The soldiers make it to an oasis where they meet a Chinese prince far from home. They agree to be the princes bodyguards as they take him back to his homeland of Sera Maior in northern China. On their travels through India and the Himalayan mountains they must protect this boy at all cost and help him regain his throne.Once they get to their destination, they discover a shocking secret: they are they not they only Romans who came to China. A legion thought to be a myth proven to be true. A Roman legion existed in China, 100 years before them.
