After a brilliant book on the 95th, Mark Urban comes back again with a an equally excellent work on the 23rd Royal Welsh fusiliers and the American Revolution. The 23rd fought in pretty much all of the major engagements from the start at Lexington to the end at Yorktown. Urban as always writes in brilliant detail of some of the interesting characters from the hard fighting Irishman Mcean (Pronounced Mccann nowadays) to the indomitable Roger Lamb who escapes twice once after Saratoga and after Yorktown.
All in all an excellent work.
