Hunter’s Rage

Another strong book from Michael Arnold, centred around the strong character of Stryker. It's no bad thing to be influenced by Bernard Cornwell, yet Arnold is no mere imitator. His writing is developing each book and there are flashes of descriptive writing, as well as strong dialogue, plot twists and battle scenes. Would recommend that you perhaps read the other books in series to get most out of this novel, but it's not essential. The Civil War really did engulf England - and tear it in two. Would recommend these books to anyone who wants an entertaining way in to the period - particularly in terms of military history.
