An American woman named Tosca Lee has written a splendiferously well researched & engaging alternate story of Christ's betrayer. Jesus himself isn't the main character,but an essential subject of the tale. In Iscariot,Judas is both PRO-tagonist & ANT-agonist.
We read of the story of the disciples & the Baptist,himself a cousin of the Christ. All this plot is seen through the eyes of the Macabee. Think of it as the Gospel according to Judas. That's never been done before & Tosca arranges it quite credibly. I'm not recommending it as a proseltyser,but as a reader of fine lit. Christian or not,it's an educational & entertaining read.
