First of the Brotherhood of War series, this book is what propelled me into reading military history. Much like Mr. Cornwell's books, within a few chapters you are drawn into the characters lives; they seem very real. The Brotherhood of War series focuses on a group of men who first meet at the beginning of WWII and follows their careers and their lives through the Vietnam War. Not rich in military detail, but fascinating in the bonds that tie these men to each other.
