Where as there are many journals of British officers in the Peninsular army in Spain this one is by John Le Couter who was a young Light Infantry officer in the British army who was originally going to go to Wellington's army but instead was transfered to Canada and fought in some of the bloody engagements from Lundys Lane through to Cooks Mill, he was particuarly involved in the Niagra Campaign of 1814.
One of the best eye witness accounts of combat in the Napoleonic period. Worth a read.
