An excellently detailed look at one of the bloody battles of the American Civil war in its rather ignored western theatre.
It shows the various moves and personalities of the 2 commanders, Bragg and Roscerans, during the slaughter and the dramatic aftermath of Bragg's commanders all wanting him removed but Davis sadly deciding to keep him on. All in all worth a read.
