This book was originally published back in the 60's. It's a strange, compelling account of one man's obsession with peregrine falcons - and it's beautiful, eerie at times, and astonishing. He follows the falcons across the Essex marshes. The book was reissued in 2005 as a paperback (and I suspect the bird on the cover is a red kite, not a peregrine), and it deserves a much wider readership. It's a wonderful read.
