Urban, a BBC correspondent, has written the definitive history of the 1st Battalion, 95th Rifles for the period 1809-1815, starting with the Peninsula War and ending with Waterloo.
Using a wealth of research, Urban uses 6 officers and men who served in the 95th during that period to tell the true story - 'warts and all'.
This is well written, well researched, and eminently readable history.
