As the title says, this is a historical fiction on the eternal city. From its founding Rome had been shrouded in myth. Here is a highly readable novel on how it all started, and the transformations she underwent over the years and the big and small men who led her to her golden years. The tales are mainly centered around two families who had been there since the start to the end. There is only one word grand enough to describe the 1000-year journey, epic, and believe me, even that is an understatement.
