This is the second novel in the Shadow on the Crown series. It's set during the aftermath of the battle of Roundway Down and the Bloody seige of Bristol. An excellent novel with a collection of interesting characters on all sides of the conflict that tore Britian apart with rather graphic fight scenes. Any fans of Sharpe would love this
It has to be said that it's such a shame Carter no longer writes these books cause they were an excellent series.
