The first 50 pages are a bit descriptive but after that this is one of the best crime novels I've ever read. Set in Sweden there is a very unlikely 'heroine' - an expert computer hacker who is borderline Aspergers and a 'hero' who is a journalist. The murders and conspiracy they uncover are very convoluted.
It appears that Mr. Larsson wrote a trilogy, delivered them to his publisher and then died. Be warned - they are not small books, even in paperback they are huge bricks but well worth the effort! This book and the follow up novel (The Girl Who Played With Fire) have been winning awards all over the world. I can hardly wait for Book 3.
