In this sequel, the politicking and bloodshed to gain riches, power and control makes modern office politics seem mild! The high point with the appointment of Wallace as the Guardian of Scotland was a high point was however quickly followed with the Scottish defeat in the battle at Falkirk which saw our rebel warrior John Edward narrowly escaping death in the battlefront from the clutches of the enemy.
The quick switch over of loyalties to England by Rome, the futility of the release of King John Ballot who had lost his will to continue with the fight for Scotland, and the betrayal by Jack Short, Wallace's own man, who drugged him and handed him over to the enemy to be brutally tortured, dismembered and gutted out, brings out strongly the reason why this sequel is named Traitors!!
