I came across this book at B&N on a clearance table and the cover was so captivating I had to have it. Once I started reading I absolutely could not put it down. I started reading that evening at 6:30 and read it straight through to the end - at 4:30 the next morning! That got me hooked. Now I can't read enough of all of this type of book. I've read 6 of Bernard Cornwell's books (The Last Kingdom, The Pale Horseman, The Archer's Tale, Heretic, The Winter King, I just finished Enemy of God, and am already half way through Excalibur). Of all the authors I've read, Bernard Cornwell is the most exciting, fascinating, and wonderful. I have a long list of books that I can't wait to read.
