Although it has no relevence to Mr. Cornwell's books, I found it to be an exceptionally enjoyable novel. It is the third book of a series that follows a normal human female who is blessed with the natural abilities that we have today, but she lives in a time where man is in the middle of evolving. There is both humans and clan cave men who have flat heads and can't speak. These later individuals use sign language along with grunts and groans to communicate. What makes the series so interesting is that all the skills and abilities that we have today are looked upon as being supernatural in man's early development. I hope others enjoy this novel as much as I have.
