This book is the first of a lengthy but extremely fascinating series, that provides a highly plausible and entertaining addition to the legend of King Arthur.The book follows a blacksmith, Publius Varrus,who in the midst of the chaos after Rome's withdrawal from the British isles, helps found the legendary city of Camelot. For any who enjoyed Mr. Cornwell's Warlord series masterpieces this is absolutely right up there.
