I LOVE this book, If you liked Cornwell's Saxon Chronicles, and Tim Severin's Viking Trilogy then this book will be a welcome addition. Holland continues after this book with The Witches' Kitchen, Varanger, The Serpent Dreamer, and High City but don't stop there because she has many other wonderful books.
