'The Two Georges' is an alternate history where the American Revolution never happened. We now find ourselves in a twentieth century where The North American Union (NAU) remains a valued part of the British Empire. Russia is still ruled by a Tsar, while France and Spain formed the Holy Alliance that controls everything from Rio Grande to Cape Horn.

A famous used car salesman, 'Honest' Dick the Steamer King (Richard 'Tricky Dick' Nixon in our timeline) has been murdered, sending both the authorities and masses into a vengeful frenzy. But all this is a distraction: while being displayed in New Liverpool a priceless treasure is stolen! 'The Two Georges' is a Gainsborough painting that commemorates the historic meeting between King George III and George Washington resulting in their mutual agreement on expanding the Empire. Many suspect the Sons of Liberty - a seperatist movement whose goal is American independence from the British Empire.

Colonel Thomas Bushell of the Royal American Mounted Police (RAM) leads an investigation into the stolen painting. However, as the case takes him across the continent by dirigible, train, and steamer, he soon realizes it's a mystery both difficult and dangerous to solve. Powerful individuals are playing for stakes beyond even Bushell's wildest dreams...
