An enjoyable novel set in the American Revolution. It tells the parallel tale of George Washington and a black slave called Caeser who worked for him and how he escaped and joins the British army.
An insteresting book that tackels the contradictions of the Revolution to do with Slavery. Sadly there has not been enough fiction on this war so it's very hard to compare it but any fans of Sharpe would enjoy it.
