This is Brian Walters' third book and it covers stories based on factual events during the American Civil War period. Not only stories about battle, but little known tales such as the sometimes awful truth about embalming, which often subjected the families of dead soldiers to blackmail. And the sad account of a Cherokee Indian, who was the last Confederate general to officially surrender at the end of the war.
